Sliding bifold SL 60 doors opening onto a balcony with a very tall ODC 75 window system

Our bespoke glazing features in The Evening Standard Homes & Property section as part of an ‘Our home’ interview.

Working closely with Nimtim Architects we manufactured and installed two sets of aluminium bi-fold doors which unite two floors of a five-storey Georgian home. Both the mezzanine first floor and ground floor have access to the garden via folding doors. The mezzanine leads onto a beautiful glass balcony and spiral staircase.

The semi-detached Blackheath house is now filled with light. Rather than adding a box extension, the existing rooms are re-imagined. By reconfiguring the layout the former damp rear ground floor area is transformed into an open, roomy living room. A soaring double-height space connects this room to the kitchen above and the style is a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary.

Bespoke windows enhance the aesthetics of the building both from inside and from the garden view. What’s more, the specified double glazing and locks improve security while the house is more thermally efficient as a result of the improved thermal insulation.

Overall, this a superb example of a stunning interpretation of space, demonstrating so well what can be achieved by employing a visionary architect for your building project.
