GARDEN AND LOFT EXTENSION TO LONDON HOME

Glazing on three floors opens up 1930s house

It’s not often clients choose to extend in all directions, but this bold combined garden and loft extension transforms a 1930s Muswell Hill home into a contemporary space. A large family room fills the basement, giving access to the garden through sliding doors. The kitchen opens onto a generous balcony and the master bedroom in the loft has stunning views across the city.

ODC SL320 sliding doors open up three levels of the house bringing a spectacular level of light to the whole building. A glass balustrade acts as ‘invisible’ fall protection to the sliding doors on the second floor, and the small en suite shower room has a large vertical slot window to maximise light and the sense of space.
